Would you believe me if I told you these homemade Bounty bars have only three ingredients? Three very unhealthy ingredients, but gosh do they taste amazing… I loooove coconut at the moment – don’t ask me why, but it’s my new obsession! These naughty treats are too easy to make and too delicious to be in my fridge – they lasted a whole two days… The dark chocolate cuts right through the centre so it’s not too sweet. You can substitute the condensed milk for Organic Agave Syrup for a healthier version.
- 400g dark chocolate
- 3 cups coconut flakes
- 1 cup condensed milk
Makes roughly 12
Mix the condensed milk and coconut flakes together in a large bowl. Mould the mixture in your fingers into chocolate bar shapes, or whatever shape you like really (mine turned out a little fatter then expected). Then put the bars on a tray with baking paper in the freezer for about an hour or until set.
Heat the chocolate in a saucepan on low heat, then let it cool. Once cooled dip the bars into the chocolate using your hands, or two spoons and coat the mixture evenly. (Optional – sprinkle a handful of coconut flakes on top.)
Place the bars in the fridge and let them set for about an hour, then relish in chocolatey and coconut goodness!
